Job Title: Bed Maintenance Crew Leader

Being as family oriented as Rice’s is, it’s no surprise we’ve attracted other families to our ranks. Vanessa began her career at Rice’s three years ago on a suggestion from her father who worked for Rice’s at the time. She has since moved her way up to Bed Maintenance Crew Leader. It’s a good fit that will only get better as Vanessa has been selected to attend classes to earn her general landscape certifications.

Vanessa takes pride in being detail oriented and catching things that most others would miss, such as mulch that needs touched up or a stressed plant that needs a little extra TLC. Small touches, sure, but put all together, those little fixes make a big difference in your landscape. It’s a pretty common theme here at Rice’s, but one that sets our crews apart.

When not at work, Vanessa lives with her dachshund, Walter. She also spends much of her free time working on cars, attending car shows, or just driving around with friends while sipping a coffee. She’d love to chat, so be sure to say hi the next time you see her on your property.
