Garden Center Frequently Asked Questions

Is Rice’s going out of business?

Absolutely not! Rice’s Landscapes Redefined business is stronger than ever. We have served this area for more than 75 years as the premier provider of custom landscapes and will continue to do so for many years to come. We are fortunate to be growing our landscape business and the decision to move the landscape production center into the retail garden center represents a shift in our business to focus on our core landscaping services.

Why did you close the retail garden center?

Our business is growing, and we’ve come to a point in that growth that we need to devote both our time and space to the core landscaping services. This is not a decision we made lightly, as we have been privileged to serve this community with the retail center since 1990 and have made many friends along the way.

What will happen to the building the retail space was using?

The garden center is being redesigned to house our growing commercial and residential landscaping business. The building housed landscape production services prior to the garden center opening in 1990, and it will return to that. Plans are currently underway to house the landscape offices and create a streamlined production process for our teams.

Will you still have bulk mulch/topsoil available for sale?

No, we will no longer be retailing or re-wholesaling those products.

I have a gift card, what do I do with that?

I have earned Rice’s Rewards dollars, will I lose those?
